Banana Bread Recipe

So my niece is spending a day with me and I decided to have some fun (for the both of us) and bake some banana bread! She loved mixing together all the ingredients (and the licking of the spoon afterward). Here’s the recipe:

3/4 ripe bananas (the blacker the peel and mushier the banana the better)
1/3 cup melted butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
pinch of salt

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In bowl, mix butter and mashed bananas. Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla. Add baking soda and salt. Add the flour and mix some more. Pour mixture into a buttered 4×8 inch loaf pan. Bake for 45 minutes and then poke a thin wooden stick to see if it comes out clean. Cool on a rack. Remove from pan and slice for your enjoyment!
